Best Training Tips For Your Puppy From Early Days

Pets are adorable, especially cute little puppies. But keeping a pet is not an easy task because they need extra love, attention, and good training. There is a chance of being spoiled if they are not trained well. There are multiple ways to train your little puppy; you can take training classes and train by yourself or hire a professional trainer. But it is better to train by yourself because it is fun and increases the chances of building a good relationship with your cute little friend.

It is necessary to start training your pet in the initial days, so if you are thinking about bringing a new member of your family, this article will help you find how to train your puppy in starting days.

1.  Use Treats and Rewards For Training

Every time your puppy accomplishes a given task and follows your command, give them a treat. This is the best way for them to learn things fast and avoid behavioral problems. Use toys or food for their good behavior and do not reward them when they do something wrong. Through this, they will love you more, and it will strengthen the bond between you and your little friend.

2.  Start With the Basics Steps

Start to train your dog with the common commands such as sit, come, stay, move and many other basic commands. Train him not to chew the important and expensive things; keep away those things from him. Give them chew toys to play with and food in their bed or crate to make them adjust to their place.

3.  Be POSITIVE and patient

Generally, it is said that training is never completed; dogs learn new things throughout their lives. So train your pet with a positive attitude and be patient in the early training days. It is very common to feel frustrated in the early days because little puppies are like children; they are full of energy and curious about new things.

But on some days, your connection becomes stronger with them, and they will start understanding you. So just be patient and give them consistent training with a fixed schedule of playing, eating, and other things.

Do not change the schedule in between; it will confuse your dog. And do not expect much from them in starting days; they will take some time to adapt to the new environment; thus, keep your training session short but regular.

4.  Introduce Him to the Outside World

After your puppy gets old enough (12-14 weeks), try to take them to public parks or any place where they can socialize with other people and dogs. It will help them to decrease their fear and adjust to the environment. It will also make them confident to connect with other people. And it will help you in the house when you have some friends or relatives in your house, and your puppy will not embarrass you by barking at them.

5.  Things to Ignore

Never use the punishment method to train; it will only worsen the situation. This will create fear in him and affect your relationship with him badly. You can use alternative methods such as electric fences for dogs to train them to stay within boundaries.

This is safe for the little puppies of 6-10 months. And do not respond as they want; otherwise, they will think they are in charge and will start ignoring you.
